Large fountain, built between 1438 and 1440, located next to the church of St Saviour in Old Dubrovnik.
The fountain was one of the ending points of the city's aqueduct system, which had been built in 1436 to provide the city with fresh water from the nearby mountains. The 16-sided fountain is one of two fountains built by Onofrio de Cava. The other, smaller fountain is located near the bell tower near the City Guard building on Luza Square.
The dome at one point featured a dragon statue, but this was lost during the earthquake of 1667 and never replaced.
