The Cenotaph at South West Rocks lists the Fallen from the area that went to, and didn't return from World War One.

It must be remembered that South West Rocks is NOT the same coastal town as it was over a hundred years ago. While there are 'only' 21 names listed, it is good to remember, a) that is a significant number from the small population of 1914; and b) while the Army is well represented, the Navy, and the RAAF (Royal Australian Air Force - fledgling at the time) also had local representatives.
The two white marble plaques on the granite obelisk have the following inscriptions on them; with the southern one reading:

At the start of the slightly meandering, but short path, from the south, to the Cenotaph, is a small angular, rectangular plinth with a bronze plaque that was placed in 2015, as a 100 year commemoration for ANZACs at Gallipoli, in 1915. It reads:

Their sacrifice and contribution to the Nation will never be forgotten.
