At the intersection with Hood Avenue in Sisters, turn onto Elm Street. In about 0.4 miles, Elm Street becomes FR16, Three Creek Lake Road. Travel S from the intersection for about 1.3 miles. Turn left onto FR4606, the Brooks-Scanlon Logging Road, and continue 5.0 miles to the corner on the left.
Type of survey mark: 3-1/4" aluminum cap on 5/8" rebar post; flush with grade
What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
The closing corner bears S, 220' from the centerline of FR4606. Found a western juniper with a scribed blaze, a yellow BEARING TREE tag and two LOCATION POSTER signs. The other bearing tree has been cut down and sawed into sections.
What property is this mark defining?:
There is a small parcel of private land SW from the corner, else Deschutes National Forest; also see Oregon Corner Restoration Record #0985, filed in the Deschutes County Surveyors Office
