"Blumenboot „Nixe“ geht in Lahnstein vor Anker
Feierliche Schiffstaufe durch „Wir-für-Lahnstein“-Team
Lahnstein. In einem feierlichen Festakt, untermalt von zwei Lahnsteiner Chören, und im Beisein des rheinland-pfälzischen Innenministers, Roger Lewentz, taufte Erika Labonte, stellvertretend für das „Wir-für-Lahnstein“-Team, gemeinsam mit der Rhein-Lahn-Nixe Saskia I. das neue Blumenboot in den Lahnsteiner Rheinanlagen. „Ein echter Hingucker“, so die einhellige Meinung der zahlreichen Gäste. „Das bunt bepflanzte Boot in den Farben der Stadt Lahnstein „rot-weiß“ wurde ganz bewusst an dieser prominenten Stelle platziert und ist ein fröhlicher Gruß an alle, die hier an- und vorbeikommen“, beschreibt das „Wir-für-Lahnstein“-Team die Idee, die dahintersteckt.
Das kleine Schiff wurde von Winfried Münch ausgesucht und vom ehemaligen Eigentümer Herbert Papen zur Verfügung gestellt. Das „Wir-für-Lahnstein“-Team hat es mit Unterstützung des städtischen Baubetriebshofes wieder herausgeputzt und am Adolf-Kolping-Ufer neben Neuberts Café am Rhein aufgestellt. Der Lahnsteiner Bernhard Lempke, ein erfahrener Schiffsmann, lackierte das Boot.
Das „Wir-für-Lahnstein“-Team ist ein loser Zusammenschluss von engagierten Hobbygärtnern/innen, die sich regelmäßig ehrenamtlich um städtische Grünanlagen kümmern. „Jeder kann bei uns mitmachen, Vorkenntnisse sind nicht nötig. Der Spaß am Arbeiten in der Gemeinschaft steht – neben der Blumenpflege – bei uns im Vordergrund“, so Erika Labonte. „Interessierte Mitstreiter/innen sind jederzeit herzlich willkommen.“
