Long Description:
The park's gateway arch is part of a low stone fence surrounding the park. Supported by square posts of rounded stones, the arch consists of square steel tubing painted black. A single upright arises from each post, supporting an archway consisting of a gabled top and a flat bottom, between them the words Alston Scout Park.

Alston Scout Park is a lovely park with flowering trees and 84 evergreen trees, for the number of years Louisa Alston lived, benches, and nice walking paths. It is surrounded by an natural stone wall, at the corner of which is a memorial cairn with several plaques, as well as the flags of the U.S., Canada, Britain, Alberta and the Scout flag.
