The Bristol Hill Congregational United Church of Christ - U.S. National Register of Historic Places on Waymarking.com

This church was founded in 1813 by a group of local African Americans and European Americans. Together they built this church from donated lumber, labor, grain and money around 1830. During the days of the Underground Railroad, this was a well known spot for slaves to hide out while waiting for the opportunity to escape to Canada. This site has also been recognized by the Underground Railroad Network to Freedom. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in the year 2001
