Initially the Milsons Point railway station was where the northern pylons are today, and it was the terminus for passengers, who then caught a ferry over to the Circular Quay, at the city. The original station opened 1 May, 1893, with the current station opening 28 February, 1932; so that the building of the Sydney Harbour Bridge could proceed. * Date from NSW Rail Net: (visit link)
