"Cette île est située sur la Loire en face la faculté de lettres. Le boisement, dominé par les robiniers faux acacias, est riche de quelques beaux arbres : platane en cépée, magnolias, marronniers.
Au printemps, un tapis de jacinthes bleues évoque les sous-bois.
Les coureurs à pied en ont fait un parcours incontournable tandis que la piste de skate est le rendez-vous des « rollers »."
