Near the entrance to the cemetery is a nice silhouette sign showing pioneers visiting the cemetery. They arrived in a covered wagon to honor their loved ones. The sign is very well done, entirely black with the figures cut out. It is quite large, supported by two substantial posts anchored on brick pillars.
Magrath Cemetery is in Cardston County, Alberta, Canada and was first settled by members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from Utah and Idaho in 1899. Magrath has a current population of approximately 2,374 residents, Magrath is a rural community still surrounded by farmland.
Magrath Cemetery is approximately 8.5 acres in size and is well maintained by the town. It is relatively flat with a few trees here and there. .
There is a memorial plaque for Levi Harker near his grave. He was a Spiritual and Civic leader and arrived in Magrath in 1899 to be the first Bishop of Magrath a position he held for 32 years. There are 2,134 known interments and was established around 1911.
