EN The colonnade is located near the Colosseum: four monolithic Roman columns of gray granite, surmounted by Corinthian capitals in white marble, still support a richly carved limestone architrave. This choice of materials was to accentuate the polychromy of marble decorations found broken during excavations conducted in 1963 that had cleared the foundations of the temple. They are the last vestiges of the portico of a temple dedicated to Apollo, built towards the end of the first century AD. Their particularity is to have been kept in place since antiquity, at the entrance of the city.

The building was classified as a historical monument in 1840.
