Hutto is proudly known as the “Hippo Capital of Texas". The Hutto Chamber of Commerce has cement hippos for sale. Each owner gets to paint/decorate their own.

D R Horton built the Riverwalk subdivision. This 26" blue hippo is along the walking path that circles a small lake in the subdivision. You can faintly make out D R Horton on its side.
