 This water pump, which no longer works, is manual, the pumping system to be activated by an arm.
It is located in a small street, in front of an old wash house, a little abandoned.
Water a very precious symbol of life, today the water comes to the tap in the house, we could even forget it, just turn the tap and the glass is instantly filled with clean and healthy water but about fifty years ago the water was going to fetch itself at the fountain, at the well or at the pump.
In our villages we still find these cast iron pumps of that time, destroyed by running water, they remain abandoned. They were places of life, everyone talking with his neighbor.
 Cette pompe à eau, qui ne fonctionne plus, est manuelle, le système de pompage devant être activé par un bras.
Elle est située dans une petite rue, devant un ancien lavoir, un peu abandonné.
L’eau un bien précieux symbole de vie, aujourd’hui l’eau arrive au robinet dans la maison, on arriverait même à l’oublier, il suffit de tourner le robinet et le verre est rempli instantanément d’une eau propre et saine, mais il y a une cinquantaine d’années l’eau allait se chercher à la fontaine, au puits ou à la pompe.
Dans nos villages on trouve encore ces pompes en fonte de cette époque, détrônées par l’eau courante, elles restent à l’abandon. Elles étaient des lieux de vie, chacun y discutant avec son voisin.
