A local favorite that was built in 1951 by the Mountain View Diner Company of New Jersey. Before landing its current home location in 1964, the diner was first located in East Providence, RI and then Wareham, MA. It was first called the Nest Diner and the name was changed to the Mattapoisett Diner.
They serve freshly ground coffee, along with their specialty of crepses and five different eggs benedict, along with standard fare breakfast diner item. It is open 7 days a week for 5:30am to 2pm.
