Mayn Cemetery is approximately 15.5 acres in size, and is very well maintained with a large grove of trees about midway. There are some very large family sections marked by granite monuments. Also in the cemetery are zinc grave markers and very tall obelisks.
As you enter the cemetery, there are veteran white crosses with the name of the fallen hero inscribed. The crosses are on both sides of the roadway, and during Memorial Day activities flag poles are installed to fly the American Flag at each station. Towards the back of the cemetery is a Veteran memorial.
There are currently 2,938 known interments, establishing the cemetery in the early 1890s.
