One of the plaques reads:
These Sandstone blocks
were laid by the Road Builders
1830 - 1840 as part of the
original Bathurst Road.
Their hardwork and endurance
will live on in these stones.
Rotary Club of Katoomba 2010
A nearby tall slab of sandstone has a large bronze plaque, also placed by the Rotary Club of Katoomba, that lists the Descendants, Ancestors, Ships, and Arrival years, relating to various Rotary Club members lineage.
