La nécropole fut érigée en 1925, à partir d'éléments de construction recyclés (Pont Maghin dynamité le 4 août 1914 par le génie belge), au sommet d'une colline toujours actuellement parsemée de reliquats de tranchées relevant des préparatifs belges, ou encore, de trous d'obus résultant des terribles combats des 5 et 6 août 1914.
Rabosée est un endroit intimement attaché aux hauts faits d'armes particulièrement meurtriers et inhérents aux premiers jours de la guerre, à hauteur de la ceinture défensive de Liège.

To the Heroes of Rabosée 5-6 August 1914
The necropolis was erected in 1925, from recycled building elements (Pont Maghin dynamited August 4, 1914 by the Belgian genius), at the top of a hill still dotted with remains of trenches under the Belgian preparations, or, of shell holes resulting from the terrible fighting of August 5 and 6, 1914.
Rabosée is a place intimately attached to the great deeds of arms particularly deadly and inherent to the first days of the war, at the height of the defensive belt of Liège.
