Unfortunately (at least to me) the four-storey tall, yellow cream coloured brick tower has a brown cylinder on top of the pyramidal metal clad roof, and from a distance it looks like a toilet brush holder! [The western face of the tower has a mobile telephone repeater on it, and the cylinder on top may also be for tele-communications.] The Tamarin Restaurant occupies the ground floor of the two-storey brick building that is situated between the Great Western Highway to the north, and the western railway line to its south - with the railway bridge right next to it.
The two faces shown in the close up photo show different times, and neither match the actual time of day. It almost looks like the clock faces were an 'after thought', as there are indents in the brickwork behind the faces, that matches the size, and 'locations' of the windows on the lower three levels.
The clock faces have two concentric metal circles, painted the same yellow of the bricks. Broad black metal rectangles are placed between the the two circles to provide the 5 minute markers. There are no numeral. The hands of the clock are slender black fingers with the minute hand just long enough to reach to the inner metal circle, and the hour hand about 80% that length.
