Erstmals wurde die Pfarrkirche im Jahre 1347 erwähnt. Diese gotische Kirche gestaltete der Wessobrunner Baumeister Joseph Schmuzer in eine barocke Kirche um, die jedoch dem großen Brand von 1865 zum Opfer fiel. Matthias Berger erbaute von 1868 bis 1871 die jetzige, neugotische und dreischiffige Hallenkirche mit eingezogenem Chor und westlichem Spitzhelmturm. Das alte Hochaltarbild von Litterini konnte gerettet werden und befindet sich heute im Seitenschiff.

The Pfarrkirche Mariä Himmelfahrt was mentioned for the first time in 1347. It was remodeled by Joseph Schmuzer, the architect of Wessobrunn, into a baroque church, which was destroyed during the great fire of 1865. From 1868 to 1871, Matthias Berger built the current three-aisled neo-Gothic church with a retracted choir and a western Spitzhelm tower. Only the main altarpiece painting by Bartolomeo Litterini could be saved and is now on the left side wall of the choir.
