Central Montana Memorial Gardens also known as Sunset Memorial Gardens is in Fergus County, Montana. Lewistown is the county seat with a population of approximately 6,000 residents. First established around the 1880 gold rush. What is most interesting is Lewistown is the geographic center of Montana. You can visit the location near the swimming pool at the Yogo Inn.
Central Montana Memorial Gardens is approximately 11 acres in size and backs on the Upper Carters Pond. There is a religious figure near the entrance and most of the grave markers are small granite and flush to the ground. The cemetery is not fenced and is well maintained. It is on a gently sloping hillside with a clear view of Montana's "Big Sky Country".
