Sarah Flander Installed 2007 at Donington Rise Made from oak The winning design for this sculpture was created by a group of students from Diseworth Primary School during a series of workshops held with Primary Schools in the local area. The sessions involved the children researching and creating large images of seeds from plants which grow in countries served by the airport. The des.gns were then displayed in the airport terminal and a winner was chosen by the viewing public, which then became the carved sculpture.
