At the southern end of the bridge, on the eastern side, on the vertical railing beside the footpath, is a blue-painted, bronze plaque, with the following text:
   YEAMAN BRIDGE
	1985
John Yeaman, First City Engineer
     City of Blue Mountains,
	From 1947 to 1969

The bridge is a 'simple span', multi-span reinforced concrete bridge, with its supporting pylons in the railway corridor that runs beneath it. And in fact, some of Katoomba Rail Station is beneath it.
