Please: Leave your politics at the gate. The Civil War was the bloodiest in American history, and its conflict was carried out on the battlefield. Henry Massey went out to fight at age fifteen and was in the ground at eighteen. In 2018, we are fighting the same war all over again, on social media, and a cemetery is no place for visitors to do anything except to pay their respects. Those who cannot do so should go elsewhere.

Grayson County has some good reading about this cemetery's 1999-2000 recovery and restoration as part of an Eagle Scout Project, including some before and after photos. Should this document go offline, it will be available from me here.
