This amazing sculptural cross in the churchyard of Cathedral Basilica of San Fernando de Bexar, in San Antonio TX was placed in 2014 when the archdiocese of San Antonio was dedicated to the Holy Spirit. The cross features the dove, symbolizing the coming of he Holy Spirit, an the Sacred Heart of Jesus being pierced by a Roman Spear.
The cross is installed in a handsome pedestal of native stone with a
plaque at the base of the cross that reads:
"FEAST OF THE PENTECOST
June 4, 20174
Consecration of the
Archdiocese of San Antonio
to the Holy Spirit"
