Tushka, OK is a small town of a little over 300 people. While its roots are in the 1870s, it was known by other names until Tushka -- a Choctaw word for "warrior" -- was adopted in 1909. The cemetery itself has just over 900 burials, and the memorial's donor, Odis R. Nutt, was buried here in 2017.

Description of Memorial: The memorial stands behind the flagpole, near the tabernacle located at the front of the cemetery, a newer section. It's a little over four foot high, made of gray granite. The five emblems of the branches of the United States Armed Forces are at the top, and the text follows. The reverse of the memorial is blank.
