Une œuvre sculpturale suspendue installée dans l’espace sur trois niveaux, affirme une conception de la sculpture qui ne veut pas imposer sa masse, mais plutôt engager des liens. Dans l’axe de perspective de l’escalier, un ensemble d’éléments de trois formats distincts et trois couleurs significatives – or, argent, bronze – se répètent à l’identique. Le déploiement des soixante-cinq pièces dans l’espace suit un trajet sinueux.
La lecture de l’œuvre est activée par le positionnement et les déplacements du spectateur ; à proximité, l’œil percevra davantage les textures et les chevauchements visibles dans la transparence du matériau utilisé et à distance, le regard se portera sur l’ensemble de l’installation pour une vue plus englobante.
La voie des souffles s’inscrit dans une gamme d’observations qui interpellent à la fois la personnalité architecturale du lieu et la vocation multifonctionnelle du bâtiment perçue à travers l’accumulation vibrante d’attitudes, de gestes posées sous les projecteurs par l’athlète et par l’artiste de scène comme autant d’infinis éclats d’une performance lumineuse marquant le public de son empreinte.
L’œuvre fait donc coexister deux angles d’approche, deux actions : intégrer et s’insérer.
Au final, La voie des souffles se présente comme une chorégraphie mouvante d’agencements et de points de vue.

This suspended sculptural work installed in a three-level space embodies a concept of sculpture that doesn’t want to impose its mass, but rather draw viewers in. As seen from the stairs, an ensemble of elements of three distinct shapes and significant colours – gold, silver, bronze – repeat themselves. The sixty-five pieces in the work wind through the space.
The perception of the work changes according to the viewer’s position and movement; close by, the eye perceives the textures and the visible overlaps in the transparency of the material more; farther away the eye perceives the work as a whole for a more global perspective.
La voie des souffles is an observation that calls on both the architectural personality of the space and the multifunctional vocation of the building as expressed through the vibrant accumulation of attitudes, performances by athletes and artists in the spotlight as so many infinite fragments of a light show that marks the audience with its imprint.
The work therefore integrates two approaches, two actions: integrating and adding.
Finally, La voie des souffles presents itself as a moving choreography of arrangements and attitudes.
