The Plough has been part of the beautiful little village of Diseworth since the 16th century, although some parts date back to the 13th century.
"Situated in a village with many half-timbered buildings, this is a cosy, multi-roomed pub with parts dating back to the 13th century. Low-beamed ceilings and exposed brickwork are just some of the original features discovered during renovation work in the 1990s. There is an interesting display of old photographs of the area. Tasty home-made food is served. The spacious, well-presented beer garden is popular in summer. Joint local CAMRA Village Pub of the Year 2011."
