Lewistown Cemetery is in Fergus County, Montana. Lewistown is the county seat with a population of approximately 6,000 residents. First established around the 1880 gold rush. What is most interesting is Lewistown is the geographic center of Montana. You can visit the location near the swimming pool at the Yogo Inn.
Lewistown Cemetery is approximately 25 acres in size with towering trees through out the cemetery. Own by the city of Lewistown, it is very well maintained. There are 8,301 known interments part of which are located in a designated Veteran section some from the Spanish American War, also is a machine gun, war memorial and a bell.
