"Pike County was the childhood home of Mrs. Albert P. Greensfelder, the wife of the St. Louis civic leader who was the originator of the Great River Road from Canada to the Gulf of Mexico." ~ Official Website City of Clarksville

"In 2009 Sonya “Sunny” Glassberg made a $2 million commitment to Washington University establishing an endowed professorship for the directorship of I-CARES, on behalf of the Glassberg family. That gift provided funding for the Albert P. and Blanche Y. Greensfelder Lecture.

"The Glassberg’s family’s relationship with Washington University spans more than a century, beginning in 1901 when Myron Glassberg’s uncle, Albert P. Greensfelder, earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. In 1909 Greensfelder married Blanche Younker, who earned a master’s degree in English from WUSTL in 1927. He died in 1955, she in 1956. Both had been known throughout their lives for their generous support of various organizations." ~ I-Cares
