Backhouse (aka Backus) Mill is a historic mill near Port Rowan, Ontario. The mill is a Canadian National Historic Site, built in 1798 by John Backhouse. The gristmill was one of the few surviving mills from the War of 1812. The mill stayed in operation by descendants of John Backhouse until 1957. Today it is preserved as a museum and maintained by the Long Point Region Conservation Authority.
