Very interesting and mysterious place. It has no web footprint as I could find.

County of building: Audrain County
Location of building: W. Washington St. & 1st St., Martinsburg
New building (2010) but built to look like an old, turn-of-the-century factory, or myabe they were going for an old horse drawn firehouse.
Either way, strange. No one answered when I knocked on the steel door...so no one answered my questions
Marble steps lead to the steel door, and incised into the marble
MISCELLANY LABS
Just to the right of the door is a cornerstone, or similar with the text:
If At First,
An Idea Is
Not Absurd
Then There Is
No Hope For It
Over this steel door is the universal symbol for the Atom....
Over the garage doors are a couple of signs, on the flat surface above each door, in order they read:
MISCELLENY
LABORATORY
& GARAGE
On the Key Stone of each arch over the garage doors is inscribed, from left to right: FAST, FASTER, FASTEST.
To make it even stranger, in front of the steel "employee door" is loose gravel around a brick patio. On, or in, the brick patio are three manhole covers, one each from Lincoln, NE; Duenweg, MO.; all three of which are identified as being from a foundry.
