Ruins Michelsburg.

Separated by a mountain cliff rises on the Remigiusberg east of the church, the ruins of Michelsburg.
Its creation is closely linked to the construction of the monastery: the monks bought the once illegally built castle and used the stones as building material for their purposes. Later, the Counts of Veldenz rebuilt the castle.
Preserved are the 20m high shield wall, remains of the former Palas, the ring wall and the neck trench.
