There are actually two embedded 'DMR' bronze plaques for this bridge over Woy Woy Creek, and the above coordinates are for the northern plaque.

On an oblong concrete barricade on the western side of the northern end of the concrete bridge are two plaques. One is the 'usual' rectangular bronze embedded plaque, with "DMR 1984", being placed by the 'Department of Main Roads'; which was one of the earlier forms of the New South Wales State 'Public Works Departments'.

Location of DMR-1984 plaque on northern end of bridge

'By the way', just to the right of that, is a larger bronze plaque, for the Opening of the bridge, in January, 1985. It reads:

      WOY WOY BRIDGE
	 	Opened By
   The Hon. L.J. Brereton, M.P.
Minister for Public Works and Ports
	  and Minister for Roads

	 25 January 1985

Alderman P.F.Coleman B.N. Loder
Mayor Commissioner of Main Roads
Gosford City Council New South Wales

There is a similar DMR 1984 embedded bronze plaque, on the concrete barricade on eastern side of the southern end of the bridge. This is near the 'Spike Milligan Bridge' cyclepath, and would be the easier one to get to if you are a pedestrian or cyclist; whereas the first one indicated is easier if you are in a car, as the parking area is to the north.

The bridge has a concrete deck, on three sets of six parallel reinforced concrete I-Beams. These are supported by two sets of concrete piers that have three cylindrical concrete legs. Large boulders are placed for the abutment, with a concrete ledge on either end, for the I-Beams to rest on, at the approaches. On the western side of the bridge deck is what remains of the pedestrian path, but it only has a vehicular safety rail on the side. [There is now the parallel cable-stayed Suspension 'Spike Milligan Bridge' for pedestrian and cyclist use.]
