To Woodmen of the World tombstones for father and son John and Elton Bostick reflect changing tastes in memorials, but the reason they caught our eye is because they are so differently affected by time. One is covered in black mold or mildew, and the other one made of pink granite, is now turned the creepy grayish green by moss.

The tombstones read as folows:

"[L]

[WoW medallion]

JOHN B. BOSTICK

Born
Dec. 1, 1868
Died May 16, 1908.
Tho lost to site, to memory dear

BOSTICK"

Next to him stands the moss-covered tombstone of his son Elton, as follows:

"[WoW medallion]

ELTON P. BOSTICK

Apr 2, 1911
July 16, 1936

He was the sunshine of our home"
Was the inscription legible?: Yes
