The Oil Museum at 315 E. Main in Healdton is a fascinating look into the oilfield-related history of this area of Oklahoma. The Healdton Field discovered in 1913 opened this area of the state to growth and vitality.

East of the museum on their grounds are several monuments and memorials, as well as many pieces of oilfield equipment to view. This "You Are There" sign is located here, and highlights the South-Central portion of Oklahoma, with its many parks and recreational facilities, and beautiful scenery. The map shows an area with the Red River and Texas to the South, and Interstate 35 running up the center to the Pauls Valley area. State parks and historic sites are marked on the map.
