With orange bricks, and light-coloured Colorbond roofing, this Church a good sized portico over a concrete driveway, to allow the dropping off those that need it. The drive then continues around the side of this single-storey building. The seating in the main auditorium was comfortable, with good clearance between the pews.
Up the front of the body of the Church, was a brass plaque, which I investigated after the Service, and found that it was for the opening of the Church, and it reads:
To The Glory of GOD
Bowral
Seventh-Day Adventist Church
This Church was dedicated by
The Congregation and opened by
CR. Jim Tuddenham
12th October 1996
A House of Prayer and Worship
For All People
It was a very pleasant surprise to catch up with people I knew from 30 years ago, and a 'neighbour' from '50' years ago. While they don't have the demographics to have a Pathfinder Club, it is an active Church in the community. [The couple of children aged 10 - 16, are able to join in another Church's club.]
I found out that the Pre-School that is beside the drive up to the Church used to be the local K-6 Adventist School, but that it closed in 2001. There is ample parking up in front, beside, and behind the Church. The hall has been made very functional for activities by having sufficient sound-deadening added. Please feel free to stay for a vegetarian 'Pot-Luck Lunch' after the Divine Service.
