A grey granite plaque, on a low stone cairn, just past the Fire Station at Mount Wilson, honours the locals who went to World War One.

A polished grey granite slab is embedded on a large chunk of rough hewn granite, which sits on three layers of local sandstone rocks, making a concreted rectangular cairn. The gilded inscription of the plaque reads:
