FR Depuis 1900, date de sa construction, les Rognacais sont très attachés à leur célèbre croix qui surplombe la ville. Et c'est avec perplexité que des habitants ont trouvé, il y a quelques jours, elle a été différente, comme amputée. Les services techniques à la disposition d'une partie de la guirlande qui éclairait chaque soir était en panne. Et en montant sur le plateau, il a été rendu à l'évidence: ce monument local a été la proie de vandales qui ont chaque barre de fer composant la branche gauche du crucifix.

Les gendarmes ont trouvé le méfait en fin de semaine dernière et depuis, ils mènent l'enquête. Mais, remarquant que le métal coupé avait déjà rouillé, ils ont déduit que cet acte indélicat datait sans doute de plusieurs jours avant le constat. Une autre croix amputée de façon semblable à celle de l'oratoire Saint-Jacques.
EN Since 1900, date of its construction, the Rognacais are very attached to their famous cross which overhangs the city. And it is with perplexity that residents have noticed, a few days ago, that it seemed different, as amputated. The technical services initially thought that part of the garland that illuminated it every night was out of order. And when they went up on the plateau, they had to face the facts: this local monument was the prey of vandals who sawed every iron bar that made up the left branch of the crucifix.

The gendarmes did not notice the mischief until late last week and since then they have been conducting the investigation. But, noticing that the cut metal had already rusted, they deduced that this indelicate act probably dated several days before the report. Another cross has been amputated similarly to that of the oratory Saint-Jacques.
