Many a day you will have beautiful BLUE skies when visiting the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden at Mount Tomah. And, while the day before it had been 43°C at Newcastle where I had been, this morning it was 11°, and it got to a maximum of 13° at 3pm in the Blue Mountains; the temperature only going higher as I descended to Sydney. The dense cloud lifted about 1pm.

I didn't realise that while the Botanic Gardens gate was open, that the Gardens don't open until 9am, so when I was 'found out' and told, I then cleared out with apologies. Not a skerrick of sunlight to test the Equatorial Sundial out. There was so much rain water around the sundial that it was only when I came back more than a year later that I was able to get reasonable photos of the Orientation Table list of localities that are point to from around the base of the sundial.

There is an 'Equation of Time' wave form between the arms of the sundial.
