The W.A. Ward Building is located at the intersection of 6th Street and E. Main (Hwy 70A). This is a one-story brick building which originally had two storefronts. The entire front of both units is now covered with metal siding. There are no windows along the east wall of the building, and it appears to be vacant, however, may be used for storage. The occupancy directly to the west also appears to be vacant.
The roof is flat with raised pediments at each corner and at the center of the facade. The Name/Date panel is located on the upper wall at the center. It is made of three horizontal concrete sections and reads: "1922 / W. A. Ward / Bldg." The town of Wilson was incorporated in 1913, so this building was one of its earliest. Above each storefront is a wide brick-bordered panel.
