No that is not a typo, but is in fact this Cow is on top of the roof of Cows Ice Cream Parlor, one of several retail outlets within Cavendish Boardwalk. This cow is life sized and probably made of fibreglass or a similar lightweight material. Extremely well detailed, she is a Holstein, a breed renowned for their milk producing capability.

Cows is by far the best ice cream we've tried to date in Canada. It was difficult to decide which of their 32+ flavors to pick - and all cones are handmade.

About COWS
COWS began to make ice cream in 1983 with an old-fashioned recipe that originated in Cavendish, Prince Edward Island. In fact, our secret COWS recipe dates back to the time of Anne of Green Gables and contains the same all-natural ingredients that were enjoyed by the children of Avonlea.

In a very short time the demand for COWS ice cream and products increased dramatically, and COWS quickly became a Prince Edward Island symbol as identifiable as Anne herself! Despite the growth that COWS has experienced, the same old-fashioned ingredients are still used today when making the 32+ flavors that are produced by COWS Inc. in Charlottetown. Each COWS ice cream is served in a handmade waffle cone, created one at a time, right at the counter.

Welcome to the Cavendish Boardwalk

If you are looking for the best shopping experience on Prince Edward Island and the opportunity to taste COWS Ice Cream and other great foods from Fish and Chips to Pizza, then you must visit Cavendish Boardwalk.

We are pleased to offer clean facilities and a wide variety of items for sale. All our tenants offer great Island Hospitality and are willing to assist you in making your purchase decisions. We provide ample FREE parking and a place to relax on the front lawn to enjoy the beauty of Prince Edward Island. Come see the full size cow statue on the roof overlooking the lawn. Take a picture or better still get us to take your picture with the cow in the background.

Our goal is to provide a memorable experience to you so you will keep coming back again and again. If you have not been to visit us yet, then this is your personal invitation. We are a seasonal operation and as such tenants start to open on the Victoria Day Weekend and remain open until at least Labour Day Weekend.

Our tenants are encouraged to be open for the following hours. However, during the peak season from June 15 to September 7 you can expect all tenants to be open from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm minimum.
