Hewitt Cemetery is a very lovely area east of the town of Wilson.

Hewitt Cemetery is located on Hewitt Road, about 1.5 miles east of the town of Wilson. The area is very well maintained and contains 3725 headstones at this time. At the entrance is a very nice war memorial honoring those who served our country from the Civil War, Indian Wars, on up through the present..
The entrance is located on the northwest corner of the cemetery. A scattering of mature trees dots the west portion of the cemetery, with gravel drives around the perimeter and bisecting east-west. A newer section on the east side has a perimeter drive, as well as numerous drives north-south. This eastern area has no trees.
