Gymnasium - Lone Grove, OK - WPA Projects on Waymarking.com

This is a one story gymnasium constructed of cut and rusticated sandstone. It is rectangular, 100 x 67 ft. A one-story classroom building has been erected north of the gym which hides most of the building from West Broadway (Highway 70).

The gymnasium has a high barrel roof, with parapets at each corner. A row of windows are multi-paned casement with most of the panes covered. A concrete block addition has also been added to the rear (south).

The gymnasium was built as a WPA project in 1940.
