FR L'histoire
L'origine de sa construction est liée à une légende, d'après laquelle un berger aurait trouvé une statue qui avait la faculté de retourner miraculeusement sur le site de sa découverte après chaque déplacement.
Si l'on ignore à quel saint Amand la chapelle est dédiée, on sait en revanche qu'un pèlerinage avait lieu vers cette chapelle chaque lendemain de Pentecôte, au moins à partir de 1600 et jusqu'en 1920. La chapelle fut ensuite délaissée se dégrada et tomba en ruines.
En juillet 1999, à l'initiative de la commune de Clamensane, débutent la restauration et la mise hors péril du site.
En 2000, année jubilaire, la chapelle Saint Amand, restaurée, est bénie par les Frères de Saint Jean, de Châteaufort.

La chapelle
C'est une chapelle ouverte sur le devant et constituée de 3 pans de mur très épais en pierres. Une charpente, en bois et tuiles la recouvre.
A l'intérieur, une croix, quelques statues, et un autel minimaliste (une table) avec un registre pour les visiteurs.

Autour de l'entrée
A l'extérieur, un petit muret s'une superficie équivalente à celle de la chapelle permet aux visiteurs de s'asseoir.
A proximité, un panneau donne les informations sur l'histoire de cet endroit et le texte d'une chanson qui lui est dédié.

The origin of its construction is linked to a legend, according to which a shepherd would have found a statue that had the faculty to return miraculously to the site of its discovery after each trip.
If we do not know to which saint Amand the chapel is dedicated, we know however that a pilgrimage took place to this chapel every day after Pentecost, at least from 1600 until 1920. The chapel was then neglected was degraded and fell into ruins.
In July 1999, at the initiative of the town of Clamensane, begin the restoration and the endangered site.
In 2000, the Jubilee year, the chapel Saint Amand, restored, is blessed by the Brothers of Saint Jean, of Châteaufort.

The chapel
It is an open chapel on the front and consists of 3 sides of very thick stone wall. A frame made of wood and tiles covers it.
Inside, a cross, some statues, and a minimalist altar (a table) with a register for visitors.

Around the entrance
Outside, a small wall has an area equivalent to that of the chapel allows visitors to sit.
Nearby, a sign gives information on the history of this place and the text of a song dedicated to it.
