The park is dedicated to long distance motorcyle riders. Founded in 2007, beginning with the single granite monument that sits at the top of the park. Madawaska represents one of the corners of the SCMA Four Corners tour, with the others in Florida, Washington and California. To be a finisher in this tour, a rider must complete all four corners in 21 days on motorcyle.
