A church of the
Lunenburg-Queens Baptist Association, this little small town church retains its meeting house style aura, with a large narthex added to the front and a smaller entrance porch at the rear. Though it may be a 180 year old meeting house style church, this seems unlikely, as the earliest burial in the cemetery that we know of is that of Effie Hatt, born 1882 and died in 1890 (aged 7–8). We'll probably never know much more than we do now about this church and cemetery.
If this is an older building, it was likely either moved from another location or moved upward and placed on a full basement. If it's a newer building, it was likely built on the basement. Today the church is clad in vinyl siding and appears to be well kept.
Directly to the north of the church is the cemetery, partially shaded by mature coniferous trees. It is surrounded by a chain link fence on at least the front and north sides.
Find a Grave lists 98 interments in the cemetery, which is probably pretty accurate.
