From the Port Stephens Council website:
"Located on the western side of the Karuah River, Memorial Park adjoins Longworth Park via a scenic walk under the bridge and along the foreshore. There is a boat ramp and trailer parking facility.
"This park is used for commemoration services for Anzac Day and Remembrance Day throughout the year.
"There is an (actually, several) information plinth(s) on the riverbank in this park that displays historic facts about Karuah." (

The toilet block is well maintained, and is open 24/7, making it a worthy place to stop on your journey. There is a drinking fountain, with a plaque for the Piping of Water to Karuah in 1973.
The geocache mentioned in the link, is just on the edge of the Memorial Park, being on the truss work of the Historic Bridge.
There are a couple of Waymarks already in this Park, with a few more to come.
