Blasterz do not see a lot of evidence of vandalism in this historic cemetery, but we DID see a LOT of evidence of a huge herd of wild pigs, and VERY DEEP hoofprints where pigs sank into the soft soil. Therefore, we think that this tombstone was toppled by wild hogs, rather than by yahoos.

This tombstone is located in a family plot near the Milam Cemetery Road.

The tombstone reads as follows:

JOHN S. HOWARD

Born
Nov. 8, 1868
Died
Oct. 12, 1912

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God"
Was the inscription legible?: Yes

Location of Marker/Monument: Cemetery
