The Texelse Courant (also called De Tesselaar) is a regional newspaper that appears on Texel, but on which a subscription can also be taken outside Texel, or even outside the Netherlands. The newspaper was founded on September 15, 1887. The newspaper reports about news from the island, but also a report about important issues for Texel on the shore is not shunned. The newspaper is published by (formerly) Uitgeverij Langeveld and de Rooij and appears twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays. The newspaper is almost unique in the Netherlands, and together with, among others, the Meppeler Courant, it is one of the few independent regional newspapers. Since 2006, the newspaper is also digitally available free of charge. Source /translated : ( visit link)
