Die Figur des Heiligen Pio steht auf dem Leiblachfeld vor dem Ortseingang zu dem Wallfahrtsort Wigratzbad.
Die ca.5m hohe Figur aus Bronzeguß steht auf einem mehrstufigen Betonsockel welcher von dem Bauunternehmen Kapfer erstellt wurde.
Geschaffen und gegossen von der Firma Guss Strehle Freyung-Grafenau.
Einweihung am Standort 20.09.2008

Pater Pio (italienisch Padre Pio; bürgerlich Francesco Forgione; * 25. Mai 1887 in Pietrelcina, Provinz Benevento, Kampanien, Königreich Italien; † 23. September 1968 in San Giovanni Rotondo, Provinz Foggia, Apulien, Italien) war ein katholischer Priester und Kapuziner. Seit 1918 zeigten sich bei ihm Stigmata und er soll auch die Gabe des Heilens, der Prophetie, der Bilokation und der Seelenschau[1] gehabt haben. 1999 wurde Pater Pio von Johannes Paul II. selig-, 2002 heiliggesprochen. Er ist einer der populärsten Heiligen Italiens.

The figure of St. Pio stands on the Leiblachfeld in front of the entrance to the place of pilgrimage Wigratzbad.
The ca.5m high figure made of cast bronze stands on a multi-level concrete base which was created by the construction company Kapfer.
The figure was created and cast by the company Guss Strehle Freyung-Grafenau

Father Pio (Italian Padre Pio, bourgeois Francesco Forgione, born May 25, 1887 in Pietrelcina, Benevento province, Campania, Kingdom of Italy, † September 23, 1968 in San Giovanni Rotondo, Foggia, Puglia, Italy) was a Catholic priest and Capuchin , Since 1918, stigmata have appeared in him and he should have also had the gift of healing, prophecy, bilocation and the soul show. In 1999, Father Pio was beatified by John Paul II, canonized in 2002. He is one of the most popular saints in Italy.
