Located on the Lincoln Hwy a few miles east of Medicine Bow, the unique Fossil Cabin was constructed from dinosaur bones. Built in 1932, it quickly became a tourist attraction for those traveling the Lincoln Highway through Wyoming. When I-80 became the main travel route on 1970, traffic passing the Fossil Cabin decreased and the museum was closed. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008 and has also been featured in Ripley’s Believe It or Not.
